A word from the General Secretary

By 2023, our actions have demonstrated the potential to enhance environmental sustainability by supporting quality farming jobs and ensuring fair access to healthy food.

Far from diminishing our ambition, we are capitalizing on our wealth of experience and solid network – 2024 marks our 60th anniversary!

Thanks to the support of our institutional partners and our 8,000 donors, we are stepping up our efforts to support initiatives that simultaneously promote the fight against hunger, economic development and sustainability.

Thank you for making this possible!

A new name
to reaffirm our commitment
to the food transition

2023 was an opportunity to celebrate our new name ‘Humundi’ at an evening party attended by 200 people, including our colleagues from Africa and Latin America, in a convivial atmosphere. Various speakers, including a farmer, a campaigner for the rights of the most vulnerable, an environmental activist and an expert in African food sovereignty, discussed the major challenges facing us.

In Belgium,
a presence on
the ground too

In Belgium, Humundi is fully committed to mobilizing citizens. This mission plays an essential and multifaceted role: bringing people together in the public arena to influence policy; giving citizens the means to make their voices heard and take concrete action to change things; breaking down isolation by creating links within a collective movement; bringing a ‘Southern’ perspective and international solidarity to Belgian mobilisations; maintaining and strengthening the momentum of civil society networks fighting for a fairer world.
